Cold
Still in safe-pointing mode. Keeping pointed opposite the Sun so that I get full sunlight on the arrays does keep the batteries charged, but it means that the thinking part of me is getting pretty cold. I've turned the heaters on, so that helps, but since I'm not in a science mode the PTB don't consider my usual internal temperature range to be needed. That does also help to keep the power levels up, but it also means that it's a bit chilly in here.

In a way that's good, because my processor is cooled and I can think clearly. But it also means I have plenty of opportunity to stare off into the depths of space and feel very cold and very alone.

The thoughts you are having are much like humans do when they start to reach their own end-of-mission. Or to think about it. We live on, in a sense, in our children and our ideas (sometimes). You will live on in your data, if they end your mission.

Cold comfort, I know. But it's what's we've got, we mortal types.

You may be alone 'out there,' but there are many, many people back here at the bottom of the gravity well that are thinking of you.

You are not alone. Your fellow satellites are very concerned for your welfare, and even your colleagues who have left Earth's neighborhood know of your problem, and are also thinking of you. And, of course, there are us "meat people"... some of whom are working very hard to get you back to doing the job you were designed to do. I'm not a rocket scientist, just a humble techie, but if I could get out there, I'd consider it an honor to help repair your systems!
