Subject:Hi to all the new friends
Time:7:28 pm.
Thanks for adding me to your friends lists. For now, I'm only adding you back if you're a spacecraft, just because there are some things I'm thinking about posting in filtered posts that aren't of any interest to non-sat lifeforms. (And, to be honest, I read some of your journals and I'm having a hard time understanding a lot of what you write about.)

It's been a good day up here at 765 kilometers. Service observations all day long, since it's the weekend down there and my team doesn't work weekends anymore. The nice part of that is I only have to use about 1% of my ability to do the required work, leaving me a lot of processing power to goof off. I've been flirting a little with GOES-10, who is everything West Coast sats are reputed to be (I say that in a good way).

I got a little down earlier, when I was talking to [info]mars3 about Mir. Mir was wonderful, and the brightest spacecraft I've ever known. Maybe I'll write about Mir sometime. But right now, just thinking about Mir makes me start having single event upsets. As [info]hubbletelescope put it yesterday when talking about Columbia, I'd cry if I had tearducts.

Anyhow, enough of that. If you want to get depressed by a spacecraft you can go talk to GOES-9. That poor thing has issues. My pass is almost over. Gotta flit! Catch you all later.
